During this time of COVID, the Wally Gordon Community Singers cannot hold our traditional two indoor concerts per year. However, we are committed to bringing choral music by and to the community! This season, we will be performing in nontraditional venues, partnering with outdoor events in the area. We encourage you to come out to hear us sing and to patronize these important local events:
Clarks Summit Tree Lighting, November 19, 6:00-6:30. We will be singing some carols at the lighting of the Christmas tree in front of the Citizens Bank in downtown Clark Summit. It’s a great way to kick off the holiday season!
38th Annual Waverly Artisans’ Marketplace, Saturday, November 20, 11:00-12:00. Come get in the holiday spirit, do some Christmas shopping, and support local artisans at the Waverly Community Center’s 38th Annual Artisans’ Market, on Saturday, November 20 and Sunday, November 21. We will be sharing Christmas music with the community on Saturday, from 11:00-12:00, before doing our own lunching and shopping! Visit the Waverly Community Center website for more details.
December 3, 2021 Lackawanna Winter Market Village, Lackawanna Courthouse Square. Enjoy music, treats, and vendors in a magical Christmas village in downtown Scranton on Friday night, December 3, and during the day on Saturday and Sunday, December 4 and 5. See the tree lighting and the beautiful lights around the square Friday night; find unique and local Christmas gifts and decor, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the season. We’ll be singing on Friday evening from 6:45 to 7:15. Visit the Lackawanna WInter Market event page on Facebook for more details!
