Do you miss the fun you had singing in a choral group in high school or college? Maybe it’s been years since you’ve sung and you’re afraid your voice is hopelessly out of shape. Or maybe you’ve always loved choral music but you’ve never tried it because you can’t read music or you’re not sure you’ll be good enough. Well, now is the perfect time to add choral music into your life!

The Wally Gordon Community Singers is open to any member of the community, age 14 or older, with an interest in performing choral music. We do not require auditions, prior experience, or an ability to read music. We also do not require excessive amounts of time; we rehearse for just one hour per week, from September through May, with breaks for holidays. Normally, we perform two major concerts, in December and May, along with smaller appearances, such as singing at Viewmont Mall and at area nursing homes. We have made various adjustments during the pandemic, including shifting to performances at outdoor venues. Whenever conditions make it possible, we sing!

You’re welcome to join us for a rehearsal! During our fall and spring seasons, we meet on Tuesday evenings, from 7:30 pm until 8:30 pm, in the choir room at Clarks Summit United Methodist Church. If you decide to join, we ask for semester dues of $20 to cover the cost of music, but if finances are an issue, just speak to our director, Loriann Kerber. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions. Hope to see you at rehearsal!
